Jeanne B. Travis, 81, of Princess Ann, MD departed this life on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Tidal Health Peninsula Medical Center, Salisbury, MD. She was born in Elizabeth City, NC on March 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Samuel Travis and the late Mary Newby Travis.
While in Martinsville, she became a member of the Fayette Street Christian Church. She attended the Alice Freeman Palmer Memorial Institute, Sedalia, NC. She loved to read and keep up with current events and loved her church.
She is survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette Street., Martinsville, VA. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing will be required.
