Curtis, I can't believe you are gone! You were my roommate, my friend, my kids godfather. I lost contact, and could not reach you. It's sad, and I'm hurt, that I had to find out this way. My condolences to the family. Curtis loved you all so much. I will miss you my friend so much!!! I know you're in a better place! Love and peace my dear friend!
I served Curtis food at the RAM house. I fell in love with his gorgeous smile and his silly wit. He made me feel JOY every time I saw those dimples. Today at Greene Memorial, a candle was lit as his name was read. I know he is wrapped in God's gracious arms. Curtis, I LOVE YOU! Nancy Trussell
My condolences to the Swanson Family. RIP Curtis thank you for our beautiful daughter.
Curtis Adrian "My Big Brother"
Having a big brother is truly a blessing. Not everyone gets to have a big brother. Curtis Adrian you will always be that for me. Your passing doesn't change that. Sharing a bedroom with you on C Street in Martinsville from babies to small children & sharing a bedroom with you on Carver Road from youth through our teenage years, your face was most often the first face I see in the mornings and the last face I see most nights. You taught me a lot over the many years. You showed what to do and probably more importantly, you showed me what not to do. My emotions upon learning of your death ranged from sadness, sorrow, anger, confusion, to joy and laughter. Sadness & Sorrow knowing that it may be a very long time before I see you again. Anger knowing the struggles that you faced and endured during your life time here on earth. Confusion of not understanding God's plan for you and your life. Yet, Joy & Laughter when memories flood my brain uncontrollably reminiscing about all the fun times, the comical times where your wit and charm filled our rooms. You are the first of US to join Dad, Curtis Elmo in heaven & I have no doubt that he will teach you the ropes up there just as he did down here on earth for more many decades. I also have no doubt that you'll argue about the wings that will be chosen for you, probably something about their size, shape, or color. But relax and listen to Dad & I'm sure the wings they chose will fit perfectly and you'll fit in perfectly too. So rest in peace and relief knowing that nothing will ever hurt nor harm you ever again. I love you now, I love you forever, Big Brother.

The Grand Torino memory was sent by Steve Gilbert. And again, my deepest sympathy.
We were the best of friends in High School. The many times he drove me around in that Grand Torino. I can remember the day that he got employed at the Dutch Inn to pay for it. Just two months ago I reached out to him via text but unfortunately I never got a response. I was saddened but now even more heartbroken. My sincere condolences goes out to all of the families and friends affected by his passing. To this day I have always considered him as a distant brother. May he rest in peace.
