Obituary For Mrs. Virginia Kendrick

Celebration of Life for Mrs.. Virginia Kendrick of Decatur Will be held Thursday, April 23,2015 at 1:00PM Shy Temple C.M.E.Church Interment to Follow Dawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Virginia Kendrick (affectionately called Cry Doll) was born to the union of the late Zern and Minnie Lowe on May 5, 1925 in Sharon. GA. She was the youngest of four siblings. She was married to the late Eddie Lee Kendrick on December 26, 1943.

Very early on, Virginia joined Shy Temple CME, Virginia worked steadily and consistently with her duties to Shy Temple. She served on the Stewardess Board and contributed her energetic sprit to the Missionary Society. She was a good faithful Soldier. When friends and family reflect on the spirit of Virginia they often describe her as being an easy going, loving kind hearted, and generous person with an amazing ability to feed the soul. Anyone can attest to her awesome culinary skills once they have had the pleasure of biting into a slice of her tantalizing sweet potato custard or her tasty fried chicken.

She leaves to special memories: two sons Edd Lynn and Larry (Sonia); three daughters, Audrey, Camille, and Janice (Dennis); five grandsons, Yamata (Kikue); Kodi (Tara); Shedrick, Jhari, and Calvin; three granddaughters, Tonya (Anthony); Kendria (Michael); and Janica; eleven great grandchildren, Carmen, Tony, Lauren, Kai, Kyrie, Austin, Khaleeq, Mahogany, Alayna, l-ryjha, and Noah; two special daughters in Christ , Gwendolyn Arnold and Kim Clark; the Shy Temple CME family, and a host of others relatives and friends. I am so sorry about your dear loss of Mrs. Kendrick. When we lose a loved one in death, the pain is indescribable. That's is why our Loving God, Jehovah, promises to soon destroy this enemy of ours forever (Isaiah 25:8)! Then we will truly enjoy life the way God originally purposed, free from any and all things that cause us pain, sickness, sorrow, and of course death (Psalm 37:10, 11, 29; Revelation 21:3, 4). What a time this will be!
