Sandra Theresa (Funnye) Clark was born on April 30, 1964, one of nine children to Prince and Edna Funnye She was raised in Georgetown, South Carolina. She attended Howard High school. Sandra was active in the marching band, playing the clarinet for the Howard High School Tigers. Sandra was very courageous and adventurous as a young woman growing up in South Carolina. Sandra participated in many activities outside of school, including being a member of one of her hometown gospel choirs. Sandra moved to Atlanta, Georgia after completing high school and found a career that fit her personality, which was in sales. She enjoyed sales and was excellent in her profession. She was successful, developed many lasting friendships, and created extraordinary experiences for her customers. Sandra was most proud of her daughter Naomi (NeNe) Wright, her two grandchildren, Samuel and Samirrah Wright, and her precious great-granddaughter Sarenity Wright. She would always make the statement “If it was not for my daughter, I do not know what I would do”. Sandra lived her life to the fullest, living life her way and helping others along the way. Sandra had the opportunity to travel far and near and have unique experiences in her travels that would last a lifetime. She took life one day at a time and embraced it as humor. Sandra has left as her legacy, her daughter, grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Sandra is survived by one brother, Edward (Eddie)(Isabella) Funnye of Georgetown, South Carolina, and two sisters, Susie (Rev. James) Williamson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sadie (Reginald) Sexton of Rancho Cucamonga, California. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ernest Clark, her parents, Prince and Edna Funnye, Three brothers, Prince (Mary) Funnye of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Benard ( Carloyn) Funnye of Georgetown, South Carolina, and Lawrence Funnye of North Carolina. One sister, Jannie Elizabeth (Liz) of Georgetown, South Carolina
Sandra was truly a bright full and energetic person. I'm sadden to hear of demised but I will always think of her. She was truly a special person to me that I love genuinely. Take your rest until we see each other again.
