My sister my deepest condolences to you and the family
Sharrod you will always be in my heart forever and forever. I'll never forget you I will never let you out of my heart Mom
Sharrod Patterson was a great friend to me when we were in college working on the News Argus. He brought an infectious joy and positivity, and he always made me laugh. There was a kindness and thoughtfulness in him that we should all strive for, and will be a part of his legacy. I'll always think and speak fondly of him. Rest easy, friend. My heart and prayers go out to your family. May they be blanketed in God's love, peace and comfort.
Dear family. I am heartbroken for you. I loved your sweet son! He was such a pleasure to have over to play with Andrew. They remained friends all through high school. I know the pain of losing a child. It's been 10 yrs since we lost Andrew. I'm sure he was there in Heaven with open arms greeting Sharrod. Please call me when you need someone that has walked this walk. 704.866.0127 May God bless you all 💕
Sharrod was among my most memorable students at WSSU. From the moment I met him, when he asked to work for The News-Argus, I knew he was a gentle soul. He was also determined, funny and smart. He worked well with the News-Argus team, taking photos, writing stories and helping others work on their articles. Sharrod rose to the position of sports editor and stayed on track as a perceptive, curious and compassionate reporter and editor. I'm now mostly retired from teaching at a university in Texas, and I've yet to work with a more joyous crew than the students who worked for The News-Argus. I am proud that Sharrod became a teacher; I know he must have been an excellent one, and he made you proud. His spirit will continue as a bright light leading us forward.
