Obituary For Joe McCorkle, Jr.

Mr. Joe McCorkle, Jr. was born on March 16, 1968 in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed this life on Friday; April 15, 2022 at his home.

He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, North Carolina.

Joe, affectionately known as “JoJo” graduated from East Gaston High School in the class of 1987. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and most importantly, his riding partners: BoBo, Tommy, Mississippi and Porkie. JoJo was known as a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Tar Heels fan.

He was preceded in death by his father: Joe McCorkle, Sr.

He leaves to cherish precious memories to his mother: Joyce McCorkle of Mt. Holly, NC; daughter: Tykeisha McCorkle of Gastonia, NC; one sister: Angela Hunt of Mt. Holly, NC; one brother: Samuel Anthony of Charlotte, NC; one nephew: Joshua Hunt; one niece: Tanisha (Jarvis) Maness; three grandchildren: Zavion, Corinthian and Zharia; special uncle: Ronnie Gardner, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral on Saturday; April 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church, Mt. Holly

Visitation is one hour before the service at the church
