Obituary For Calvin Robbins

Calvin Robbins, affectionately known as “Chico” was born April 28, 1955, to Mrs. Mary Louis Robbins and the late Esper Robbins in York, SC. He departed this earthly life and transitioned to HIS Heavenly home on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Levin & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC at the age of 66.

Calvin was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a phenomenal grandfather. A true friend, and brother. Fishing, listening to music, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were Calvin's favorite hobbies.

Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Esper Robbins, brothers: Lester and Larry Robbins, and sister Darnell Miller.

Leaving behind to cherish fond memories are his devoted wife of 21 years, Kathryn Robbins of the home, His children, Mickey Burris, Latonya Myers (Dawan), Rafael Lowery (Charlene), Empress Robbins (Daughter: Emory, whom he lovingly called Mama), Justin Robbins, Zia Robbins, Kimberly Robbins, and bonus son: Brandon Littlejohn all of Gastonia, North Carolina, were the apples of his eyes. He adored his nineteen precious grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Worthy, Mary Elizabeth Robbins, and Rose Littlejohn all of Gastonia, North Carolina, four brothers: Gilbert Robbins, Frank Miller, Joe Lewis Robbins, and Kenneth Robbins all of Gastonia, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing on Wednesday; April 20, 2022 at the funeral home from 2 until 8

Funeral on Thursday; April 21, 2022 at Friendship Christian Church, Gastonia at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation is thirty minutes before the service

Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia

To the family of Mr Calvin Robbins: I am deeply saddened to hear that your love one have passed. Calvin and I worked at the P&M warehouse in Gastonia behind Toneys ice parlor for many years.
