Nina, we didn't get a chance to say bye. You were a beautiful soul with a caring heart! Roscoe
God is our refuge and strength and always present when we need him. Nina comforted and served many of our Beulah church families during their time of bereavement. She made you feel God's presence through her smile, her desire to encourage, and her genuine love for people. May God's same light in her "so shine" in those she impacted that his good works may continue on and our Father in heaven be glorified. We will continue to keep you, the family, in our prayers. Pastor Emeritus and Mrs. Columbus Watson

We are saddened to hear of this devastating loss. Our prayers of comfort, peace and love are with the family.
One thing we could always count on Nina for was a good laugh! You could always find her at a family function telling jokes or sharing a funny true story.
We are grateful for the care and love that both she and Mr. Nelson showed our family over the years during our times of bereavement.
You both will be missed! Rest well!

Oh my dear cousin words can not explain the sorrow, you where such a strong person with the same spirit. I can't imagine not having you with us. I guess god had another plan and needed your help. Rest with your dad and god. Always loved.

Nina... Whew! This is hard. My fondest memories of my childhood friend are when Nina, in the "1ST GRADE" would sit in a chair next to the teacher and read to us. As God is my witness, Nina read way better than the teacher. She was so confident and emoted, putting us kids in a trans of awe as she spoiled us with her amazing stroy telling skills. I was enamored. Nina reminded me of how I defended her to one of our teachers who was being mean to her. I will truly miss you, my dear ole friend. Farewell, for now. Kenneth "Kenny" Burton
I remember Nina as the girl with the wide smile. We served on as acolytes at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The had such laughter and as we all got older, it was evident that laughing spirit was a gift to GOD that she shared with others in also sharing her strong faith. My brother and I were very shocked at the sad news but rejoice that she is well and with GOD. She has taken the place Jesus prepared for her. Figure her mom and dad were waiting for her, each with an outstretched hand to hers. Abundant strength, love and blessings to all family and friends. Jacquelyn Jackson and Ralph Jackson III
Your memories will definitely live on. Thanks you both for making so many families to feel at peace during their times of bereavement. Rest In Paradise. Condolences 💐 for the family and friends of both departed.
Although you are gone too soon, my heart is comforted knowing that you are flying high in the heavens. Your kind words, comfort and angelic presence has comforted our family through many of home going services. We will forever be grateful. Your smile and infectious laugh will forever be in my heart. My prayers and warmest thoughts are with all those you have touched along your path just as you have done for us, The Session-Moss Families. May you and Nelson rest in peace.

Words cannot explain my feelings right now. Nelson was my BFF and Nina was such a part of my family and life. She was a Daddy's girl, so I take some comfort in knowing they are together. Love you Nina and always will. Kevin, Deborah, and your brother, Derrick.
My heart and prayers go out to her family! I only knew her through Facebook but she was a beautiful person. Rest well Nina!! You will be missed!!
It is impossible to find the words to say how much Nina's bright humor, insightful honesty, and gift of friendship will be deeply missed, or how much Mr. Greene's elegant warmth for all and his family's continuing legacy of service and justice will always be appreciated by our family and many, many others. Pat Kyle, Jen & Ross & Jack & Camille Baird
Nina was Jack's first best friend and he's loved her always, as much as he worshipped everything about Mr Greene, especially his motorcycles! Much love to all the family and friends at Greene's who always make the neighborhood and our lives richer. Nina, the guard of the Emerald City, made this slideshow for Oz and lawn mower-loving Jack's 3rd birthday. What fun they have had! As have we all. With all our love, Pat Kyle

My heart is heavy and sad, and I will certainly miss my family, but I thank God for the time He allowed me to share with my good friend and brother-in-law Nelson Greene, and my unpredictable and wonderful niece Nina Greene. Both of them left us with many fond memories, that will bring us much joy and peace in the coming days and years. They were both special people, and I know they are enjoying their new home in heaven. I don't think there are words that can accurately and effectively describe how much you have impacted my life. So much of who I am and what I do is in large thanks to you and the relationship you've built with my family. I am so grateful for the love, the pushes, the encouragement, the inspiration. Thank you for all that you've instilled in me and the legacy you have created for others to follow and model. Though, I won't have new memories, I will cherish the ones we've made in my heart. Love you always, Aurielle Jones.

God has another Angel amongst him. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Greene family. Nina was there for me during the sudden death of my Dad, and I will never forget her kindness and diligence. I was also honored to know her as my proud classmate at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington DC.
