My wife Lynn and I are deeply saddened by the loss of my cousin Michelle (Shelley) Garvin. Shelley had a wonderfully illuminating presence. She was blessed with many qualities, but it was her warmth, sense of humor, and devotion to family that stand out most to me. We will certainly miss her and offer our deepest condolences to Ron and the Garvin family.

Ron and Family,
My heart aches and I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my friend, Michelle. So many fond memories of such a sweet soul. Our friendship began at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale in 1976 standing in line at the bookstore on our first day of school.
Rest in His presence, Michelle.

My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the Garvin family. Michelle was an Angel that walked among us and gave love to all that crossed her path. Her warm smile and loving personality will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
Dear Garvin family, I send my deepest condolences and prayers during this time of grief and loss. Michelle had a quiet presence that exuded strength, peace, and comfort. We had a connection since both of our families are from Chester, PA. We grew especially closer during the time we were preparing for mine and Joe's wedding. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and helped me arrange the wedding flower bouquets. She reached out to me a few months ago and we had a wonderful conversation. I will always remember her smile, her patience, and her caring ways. Michelle had a servant's heart and lived up to a "Virtuous Woman" in Proverbs 31. (29) "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all. (30) charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised." May God's love and peace fill the void in your life during this time. Love and Blessings, Pastor Jan Prentace-Commander
Michelle was such a sweet and caring person. Always with a smile and kind word. She will be truly missed by many especially her Roberts Memorial family. Peace be with you all! Donna Taylor

Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Garvin family. "In Hebrew Baby Names the meaning of the name Michelle is: Close to God and a Gift from God." Michelle was a true example of her name. Being Close to God, Michelle was a diligent and faithful servant to God. No matter what Michelle was ask to do as a church worker, she accepted the tasks willingly. Truly a "Gift from God," Michelle was a blessing to Emma and me at Roberts Memorial United Methodist Church. She had a wonderful personality and displayed a genuine caring and loving attitude. We will miss Michelle and her beautiful smile. Emma Haley and Iva Richey
Michelle was always so nice to us. We attended Roberta Memorial with her and she loved my mom. Our prayers are with you and your family during this time. Wendi Belk and Family
Sorry, I forgot to leave my name on the "drowning" story. Gail Whitehead
Ron, Cliff, and Nicole, I have so many fond memories of Michelle growing up in Chester, PA. One in particular is when she "saved" my life when we were kids. We were at the creek at one of the local parks and I fell in the water which came just above my ankles but I thought I was drowning. Michelle took me by the hand and walked me out of the water. We've laughed about it for years. I will miss her; I pray God gives you the strength you will need from this day forward. Blessing, love, and God's peace to each of you.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
