ABBEVILLE- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Faith Hope Church, 407 Duroq St., Abbeville, LA for Mr. William “Demont” Gilbert, 39, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in St. Petersburg, FL. Interment will be in Rudd Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Rev. Harry Boudreaux will be officiating the funeral service. Mr. Gilbert leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Terry Plowden of Abbeville, LA; one son, Markell Hazley of St. Petersburg, FL; seven daughters, Page Gilbert of Abbeville, LA, Isabella D. Gilbert, Winter I. Gilbert, Isis D. Gilbert, Empress Sandra Gilbert, Cashmier Cutlift and Demonie A. Gilbert, all of St. Petersburg, FL; two aunts that raised him, Mary Gaines of St. Petersburg, FL and Malissa Plowden of Abbeville, LA; three brothers, Jermaine Gilbert of Florida, Antonio Gilbert and Johnathan Gilbert, both of Abbeville, LA; two sisters, Destiny Gilbert of St. Petersburg, FL and Latisha Pillete of Abbeville, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by: his mother, Sandra Gilbert; one sister, Lacey Pillete; maternal grandparents, Lodgie and Josephine Gilbert; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Melinda Reaux; and one uncle, Jones Mitchell, Sr.; and one nephew, Matthew Dillion Plowden. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Faith Hope Church. I wish you was still on this earth this is tootima soon as I heard about it I started busting into tears that is ow much our family loved you with all are heart and demonize If you was still here I wish you could see how good she is and smart she is the greatest cooker like she is the #1 cook for this family and cashier she is also smart they are both passing their grades demonize is going to the 5TH grade and cashier is going to the 4TH grade and the twins they are getting their and empress she is the smartest 5 YEAR OLD she knows her numbers and her alphabets she is going to kindergarten like a smart and big girl.
