OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Thomas “Herman” Simmons, Jr., 67, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory in Opelousas, LA. Rev. William Moore will be officiating the funeral services. Mr. Simmon’s memories are being cherished by: Roxie Castille of Opelousas, LA; a daughter, Tanisha Castille of Opelousas, LA; one son, Thomas Castille of Opelousas, LA; two grandchildren, Terrence Hatfield, Jr. and Jakayla Castille, both of Opelousas, LA; two God sons, Corey Simmons and Joseph Carl Simmons, both of Opelousas, LA; six brothers, Johnny Simmons (late Jennifer), Gerald Simmons, Michael Simmons (Wanda), Albert Simmons (Patricia), Clarence Simmons (Sandra) and Skippy Simmons (Carolyn), all of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Betty Ann Simmons, Alice Carmouche (Wayne) and Lucille Simmons (Ronnie), all of Opelousas, LA; one aunt, Annie Mae Frazier of Opelousas, LA; one uncle, Dave Reado of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by: his parents, Betty Lee Simmons and Thomas Simmons, Sr.; younger brother, Ronna “Chubby” Simmons; and both grandparents, Majesta Jones Reado and Author “Boy” Reado.
