Obituary For Theresa Harmon

CROWLEY –Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Crowley, LA for Mrs. Theresa Harmon, 73, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Oschner St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge, LA. Interment will be held at West Crowley Cemetery.

Rev. Sherard M. Joesph, pastor of Jerusalem Baptist Church of Crowley will be officiating the services.

Mrs. Harmon was a member of the usher department, mission department, a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, choir member for Southwest District Association Choir, member of Louisiana Home Foreign Mission State Choir and a member of Southwest Association Mission Department.

Mrs. Harmon’s memories are being cherished by her three sons, Christopher Hall of Duson, LA; Daniel Harmon of Breaux Bridge, LA; and bonus son, Nakia (Michelle) Harmon of Crowley, LA; bonus daughter, Shakesha Moore (Anthony) of Crowley, LA; two brothers, Herman (Sharon) Hall, Jr of Houston, TX; and Chris Washington of China; five sisters, Burline (Bishop James) Vallier of Alexandria, LA; Norma Washington of Crowley, LA; LaShawn White of Alanta, GA; Karen Washington of Lafayette, LA; and Leslie Washington of Houston, TX; Godson, James Moore, Jr of Los Angeles, CA; special nieces, Sherita Hollier of Lafayette, LA, SheDonna Brown of Atlanta, GA; Connie W. Lewis and Deidria Walton, both of Lake Charles, LA; and nephews Charles Washington, III and Stephfon Walton of Cary, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis J. Harmon, Jr; parents, Herman and Fannie Mae Jones Hall; foster parents, Earl and Emma Wilson; brothers, Fred Hall, Alfred C. Cole, Jesse Wilson and 5 other brothers; sisters, Pearlie B. Porter, Vera Mae Taylor, plus 2 other sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Crowley, LA.
