Love you Cousin
My condolences to your family.🕊️ Rest well 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
To the daughters of Sonya I'm so Sorry for your loss. I tried reaching out several times to you Carliss & tried reaching out to Sonya when I heard the news. Sonya & I meet at Red Lobster in Baton Rouge when Carliss was just a little girl. When Sonya moved to Atlanta, I was the friend that helped in the transition. We were different in so many ways but our Friendship was there. Sonya was funny, we both loved reading and going out to eat. We lost contact with each over the several years in Atlanta. I often goggle her name or searched FB for her whereabout. My heart was crushed to goggle her name recently & find her obituary. Sending my deepest condolences to her daughters & family. Sonya thank you being a friend & all our Baton Rouge/Atlanta memories. Rest Easy Sonya!!!
Sending up prayers to the family of Sonya and my sister Chandra to be absent from the body but to be present before the Lord....
Sonya Quenette, My dear Fiesty cousin: You have made your entrance into the Celestial City. I know Grandmother, Aunt Lula and all our family that has gone on before you, welcomed you with lots of laughter, hugs and kisses. Your presence will be missed in this realm and our hearts are saddened. Our only comfort now is knowing that being absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. Love you. Your Cousin Neecie
To Sonya's children and siblings, I offer my prayers and condolences. It's been since the 1970s since I last saw Sonya at Mohorn Church. Be encouraged and know that God is with you.
My beautiful wild child niece. I'm so sorry you left but I am so happy that you're free from the troubles of this old world. You were so young when you entered my life and I remember all of the good times we shared. You were always so funny and full of life. I will love and cherish your memories always and forever as your uncle used to sing that song to us. Get your rest and fly high sweet angel.
Prayers for the kids and family❤️
Please accept my sincere condolences. Charles Jagneaux
Happy we got to see you one last time. You will be missed. ~Carliss
"Sunflower" Sonya, my lil sis, I'm so grateful for the fun times we shared on the planet! You made every moment one big laugh with your dares! When it came to challenges, there was no one as ready as you were! Those times when were roommates on occasion were some of our biggest highlights. Although you were the youngest, you always came up with some of the biggest ideas and I'd follow right along! You were always a super leader and super smart. When a gifted person isn't challenged, they will get bored and come up with ideas of their own. As an educator of 30 years, I know this all too well. The last five of the last seven days on this earth, we were roommates again as I tended to yours needs at your bedside in that hospice room. As roommates, we enjoyed the presence of another Roommate, and He blessed us as songs of praise and worship, Scripture reading, and prayers with up before Him. His presence so filled the room as a foretaste, a prelude to the glory you'd experience once He took you with Him that following Sunday in the early a.m. I'm so glad that He's now your forever Roommate, and one day, I hope to join you all in that big Heavenly Room with the so great a cloud of Witnesses where there are many rooms. (John 14:1-3) I'm overjoyed that you are free of that body of pain and suffering and enjoying liberty of Christ's healing! Rest on, beautiful Sunflower! 🌻 His Beauty for your ashes! (Isaiah 61:3)
Rest In Peace!! Praying for the family!!
May you live and fly with the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. Peace be upon you and your family.
With much love T &M Scott
