OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Roy Lewis, Jr., 72, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Chad Ned, Pastor of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Barbara Griffin Lewis of Opelousas, LA; one son, Keybo M. Griffin of Opelousas, LA; Kelly Lewis of Los Angeles, CA; five brothers, Roland Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA, Robert Lewis, Calvin Lewis, James Lewis and Joseph Lewis, all of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Betty Lewis of Stockton, CA and Barbara Lewis of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frozine Smith Lewis, Sr. and one sister, Brenda Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.
