Obituary For Rev. Jessie Guidry

MELVILLE – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Christ Gospel Ministries in Melville, LA for Rev. Jessie N. “Gessie” Guidry, 65, who entered eternal rest on Monday, August 22, 2022 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery in Melville, LA.

Bishop Ralph Bonner, Pastor of Christ Gospel Ministries, will be officiating the funeral service.

Rev. Guidry’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Brenda Guidry of Port Barre, LA; two nieces, Lyric Lott and Nevaeh Lott, both of Port Barre, LA; four sisters, Helen Jackson (Robert) of Colorado, Joann Campbell (Michael) of Opelousas, LA, Justine Williams of Kansas City, KS and Easter Mitchell of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Earnest and Lucille Glover Guidry; brothers; sister; and best friend, James Compton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Christ Gospel Ministries.
