OPELOUSAS – Visitation service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Nell Rose Joubert, 69, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Mohorn Baptist Church Cemetery in the Plaisance Community.
Mrs. Joubert was a member of Mohorn Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Opelousas Chapter of NAUW. Mrs. Joubert’s memories are being cherished by: her husband, Alfred “Red” Joubert of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Al’Trevion (Kashun) Joubert of Lafayette, LA and Koji (Johnique) Joubert of Cecilia, LA; one daughter, Aarika Joubert (George) of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Leonard (Jacqueline) Small of Zachary, LA and Donald Ray (Betty) Calvin of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Irma Stansbury (James), Sandra Chaney (Micheal), Terry Lynn Calvin and Stephanie Gallow (Horace), all of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren, Bryson Johnson, Jamuson Broussard, Kohen Joubert, Ko’Jhon Joubert and Aaqaan Darbonne; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Elridge Small and Elsie Chaney; one sister, Diane Chaney; paternal grandparents, Ben and Ella Small; and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Juanita Calvin.
Serving as Pallbearers are: Brandon Richard, Ricky Laws, Ricardo Laws, Donald Ray Calvin, Sr., Bryson Johnson and Dessrick Edwards.
