Obituary For Mary Colligan

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Christian Life Center, 2892 S. Union St., Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Mary Colligan, 92, who entered eternal rest on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Pastor Benny Reppond of Christian Life Center will be officiating the funeral service. Mrs. Colligan’s memories are being cherished by: three sons, Donald Williams of Opelousas, LA, Russell J. Williams of New Orleans, LA and Dean R. (Bernice) Williams of Alexandria, LA; three daughters, Michelle Darbonne (Joseph) and Sybil Brown, both of Opelousas, LA and Linda Castille of Lafayette, LA; thre brothers, Ernest Williams of Lake Charles, LA, Michael (Edwinia) Williams of Abbeville, LA and Russell J. Williams of Lake Charles, LA; twenty-four grandchildren; sixty-nine great grandchildren; twenty-one great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Lewis Colligan, Jr.; her parents, Armas and Matilia Castille Williams, Sr.; six brothers, Harry Williams, Armas Williams, Jr., Francis Castille, Thomas Williams, Gaston Williams and Larry Williams; four sisters, Lillian Castille, Helen Galentine, Anna Mae Williams and Mildred Batiste; three grandchildren, Damion Williams, Tonya Castille and Crystal Powell; one great grandson, Daniel Milburn; and one son-in-law, Larry Brown. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Christian Life Center.
