OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Mohorn Baptist Church in the Plaisance Community for Ms. Loney Mae Harrison, 68, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at The Calcutta House in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Evangelist Shonte Arvie will be officiating the funeral service.
Ms. Harrison’s memories are being cherished by: her mother, Leona Harrison of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Latarsha Harrison (Kenneth) of Opelousas, LA, Tamakaa Harrison of Port Arthur, TX and Tartiana Harrison of Church Point, LA; one brother, Bruce Harrison of Crosby, TX; two sisters, Linda Joubert, of Opelousas, LA and Jenny Rubin (Richard) of Beaumont, TX; three step brothers, John Milton, Christopher (Bridget) Milton and Arlen (Anitra) Milton, all of Dallas, TX; one step sister, Mary Milton Fontenot (Joseph) of Opelousas, LA; a family friend like her sister, Evangelist Janice Thibodeaux of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Kenneth hicks (Jasmine), Brionne Clark, Khaleah Hicks, Joseph Citizen, III and Traymane Jackson, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Bransen Clark and Jacelyn Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her father, Israel Harrison, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Israel Harrison, Sr. and Tyra Jones; maternal grandparents, Joseph Martin and Pearl Martin; one brother, Israel Harrison, III; two sisters, Jean Lois Harrison and Patricia Harrison; one step brother, Kenneth Milton; one grandson, Kenneth Hicks, III; and two nephews, Jamie Harrison and Henry Sylvester Patterson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mohorn Baptist Church.
