PLAISANCE - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Mohorn Baptist Church in Plaisance, LA for Mr. Leo Paul Rideaux, 56, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in North Carolina. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Minister Charles Williams, Jr. will be officiating the funeral service. Pastor Nicholas Thomas serves as Pastor of Mohorn Baptist Church.
Mr. Rideaux’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Mitzi Morrison Rideaux of Greensboro, NC; his father, Fredrick Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; fur baby, Beaux Rideaux; six sisters, Jane Lafleur, Mary Rideaux, Lola Rideaux, Lisa Rideaux and Sandy Rideaux, all of Opelousas, LA and Lee “Susie” Ben of Missouri City, TX; special aunt, Olevia Green of Opelousas, LA; Godfather, Emile Scott of Opelousas, LA; sister-in-law, Kiki Morrison of Greensboro, NC; special cousin, Walter Green of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his mother, Julia Scott Rideaux; brother, Wilmer Rideaux; paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Rideaux; maternal grandparents, Amos and Eva Scott; bonus grandmother, Sally Pickens; mother-in-law, Mary Morrison; brother-in-law, James Ben, Sr.; and nephew, Michael Wayne Goodley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Mohorn Baptist Church.

Just want Leo family to know that he was a great guy yeah brothers and sisters and also in Greensboro North Carolina and that he will truly be missed he was that guy that was always on 10 always ready to go and all he ever wanted was time time with his brothers from eating playing golf fish scaling or showing off his karaoke skills he was the one that kept the group together with just a simple phone call of how you doing when the real question was how are you doing with all the things that he was going through If energy was always good he was that guy that could walk into a room by the end of the night everybody knew his name we will blessed to get to know this man for 30 years and his biggest blessing was when his wife came into his life and I want to say thank you missy for riding with Paul your best friend thank you all Cornell Lewis bless you Leo rest in peace
