PALMETTO – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church in Palmetto, LA for Ms. Josephine Irving, 88, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her residence in Opelousas. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Elder Rickey Louis (Brother) will be delivering the Eulogy.
Ms. Irving’s memories are being cherished by: Kursti Mundy (daughter) whom she raised and loved dearly; two sisters, Patricia Williams of Houston, TX and Novie (Lil Mom) Louis of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Ervin Randy (Rambo) Williams of Lebeau, LA, Elder Rickey Louis (Nicodemus) of Lafayette, LA and Lanick “Bull” Louis (Falesia) of Houston, TX; one Spiritual daughter, Veronica Mallet (Donald) of Opelousas, LA; one Spiritual son, Robbie Thomas of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and loved ones near and far.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Ferdis Irving and Emily Zachery; two brothers, Clarence Irving and Russell Louis; two sisters, Mable Chavis and Leona Irving; her niece, Ethel Hopkins and her nephew, Jonas Hubbard whom she mothered as like her own.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at New Pilgrim Baptist Church.
