LEONVILLE โ A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA for Mr. Joseph Curvis Davis, Sr., 70, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the mass.
Mr. Davisโ memories are being cherished by: his wife, Linda Guilbeau Davis of Opelousas, LA; four sons, Joseph Curvis (Wanda) Davis, Jr. of Leonville, LA, James Earl (Barbara) Davis of Weimar, TX, James Randy (Davis of Green Point, TX and Christopher (Naquetta) Guilbeau Davis of Lafayette, LA; two daughters, Evette Scott of Opelousas, LA and Angelica Mamou of Sunset, LA; four brothers, Joe (Joann) Davis of Sunset, LA, Joseph James Davis of Leonville, LA, Joseph Harold (Latoya) Davis of New Iberia, LA and Donald Davis of Leonville, LA; one sister, Barbara Jones of Beaumont, TX; twenty-eight grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Wilton and Virgie Brown Davis, Sr.; two sons, Joseph Darnell Davis an Glenn Davis; five brothers, Wilton Davis, Jr., LC Davis, John Allen Davis, Sr., John Wayne Davis, Sr. and Lawrence Davis; and three sisters, Shirley Ann Davis, Mary Jeanette Davis Keys and Lisa Davis Ledoux.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
