LAWTELL – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mr. James Raphael Bellard, also known by his family and friends as “Lover”, 57, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Fr. Stanley Jawa, SVD, Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial. Mr. Bellard was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Peter Claver Court 79 of Church Point, LA and Social Lite of Church Point, LA.
Mr. Bellard’s memories are being cherished by: his two brothers, Ernest (Esther) Bellard of Oklahoma City, OK and Joseph Retell Bellard of Church Point, LA; one sister, Ann Broussard (Patrick) of Carencro, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Ella Mae Chavis Bellard and four brothers, Lawrence Chavis, Paul Bellard, Charles Bellard and David Bellard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
