OPELOUSAS β Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. James Michael Mouton, 65, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Frank L. Ford will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Mouton leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, Kenneth Raymond Mouton (Sandra) of Lake Charles, LA, Ronald Mouton and Gerald Mouton both of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Carolyn Mouton of Opelousas, LA, Vera Williams of Beaumont, TX, and Tabtha Marie Mouton of Lake Charles, LA; special family friends, Mary Christine Sam, Gerald Hunter, Lester Rubit, and Fannie Auzenne; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Mouton is preceded in death by: his parents, Charles and Mary Orade Mouton, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Matilda Dumas Mouton, Sr; maternal grandparents, Melvin and Stella Payne; seven uncles, Allen, Felix and Willie Mouton, Eugene Payne, Andrew Payne, Wilmer Simonette and Floyd DeVault; three aunts, Grace Simonette, Rita DeVault and Elvie White; brother-in-laws, Joseph Williams, Sr. and Calvin Ned.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
