Obituary For Helen M. Chevis

BRANCH – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Branch, LA for Mrs. Helen Marie Chevis, 72, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Rev. Craig Gregory, Pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Chevis’ memories are being cherished by: her son, William Joseph (Joselyn) Board of Rayne, LA; one brother, Willis Minix of Bogalusa, LA; one sister, Mary Alice Bolden of Rayne, LA; two grandchildren, Braden Board of Rayne, LA and Imari Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA; a brother-in-law, Toby Chevis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Chevis and her parents, Luther and Beatrice Valley Minix.

Visitation be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
