Obituary For Elizabeth Ann DeGroot

FRILOT COVE – Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Frilot Cove, LA for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann DeGroot who was born on August 31, 1934 in Frilot Cove, LA, 86, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Natchitoches, LA. Interment will be followed immediately.

Fr. Taj V. Glodd will be officiating the graveside service.

Mrs. DeGroot leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Matthew (Theresa) Auzenne of Arizona; one daughter, Karen Mastrogiovanni (Dr. John) of California; two grandchildren, Christopher Mastrogiovanni and Christina Sayles (Andrew), both of California; two great grandchildren, Lillian Sayles and Hannah Sayles; and a host of nieces, nephews, kinfolks and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Ronald DeGroot on July 12, 2020; her parents and her siblings.

Mama Liz, I had been wondering what had happened when a couple of years ago I suddenly lost touch with you and Ron! I made all kinds of online searches trying to locate you, and possibly arrange a visit. Nothing turned up! But now I know! You were a mother to everyone that came into your life, including me. You shared ALL that you had with everyone else, including strangers like me! You served The Lord with all your heart, and your home was always open for God's work, and more. Ron and yourself were both humble and loving. YOU LOVED GOD, AND YOU FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT! He has a VERY SPECIAL place for you all.
