Obituary For Elder Adam Lamb
OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at The Truth Is Ministries, 619 W. Vine St., Opelousas, LA for Elder Adam Lamb, 71, who entered eternal rest on Monday, January 20, 2025 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Bishop Easton Shelvin, Pastor of The Truth Is Ministries, will be officiating the funeral service.
Elder Lamb’s memories are being cherished by: his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Dedra Delores Shelvin Lamb of Opelousas, LA; seven sons, Clifton CC (Kalisa) Lamb, Adam (Tori) Lamb, Jr. and Edward Magic Pickney, all of Houston, TX, Joseph (Jawanna) Adams, Bishop Easton (Kizzy) Shelvin and Lenny Shelvin, all of Opelousas, LA and Warren D. Shelvin of Carencro, LA; five bonus sons, Apostle J. Dabney (Latoya) of Houston, TX, Gerald (Beatrice) Rideau, Charmin (Gloria) Newman, Henri (Felozia) Hammond, Cedric (Shanika) Semere and Prophet Christopher Lazard, all of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Antameika Shelvin and Jennifer (Brandon, Sr.) Henry, both of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Joseph (Patricia) Andrus of Chicago, IL, Cornelius (Doris) Andrus of Houston, TX and Willie (Hazel) Lamb of Palmetto, LA; three sisters, Vonetta Muckeroy of Atlanta, GA, Elouise Siverand of Opelousas, LA and Judy Thomas of Texas; twenty-nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four Godchildren, Kevin Jones, Trimeka Peterson and Brianna Shelvin, all of Opelousas, LA and A’Maya Shelvin of Beaumont, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Cecilia Andrus Lamb; two brothers, Leonard Andrus and Wilbert Andrus; and three sisters, Lillie Mae Lamb, Letha Dumes and Philoman Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at The Truth Is Ministries.
