Obituary For Chynell Koffun Chavis

BRANCH – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Good Shepherd Deliverance Revival Center, 200 Good Shepherd Ct., Branch, LA for Mr. Chynell Koffun Chavis, 63, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pastor Peggy Rogers will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Chavis’ memories are being cherished by: one son, Rodney (Torie) Chavis of Church Point, LA; three daughters, Michelle Chavis, Shaila Wheeler (Keith) and Taylor Chavis (Bryan), all of Church Point, LA; two brothers, Barry Chavis of Church Point, LA and Joseph Chavis of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Priscilla Bellard of Church Point, LA; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; four Godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Anthony Chavis and Mary Domingeaux; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Good Shepherd Deliverance Revival Center.

The family would like to express their thanks and special acknowledge his aunt, Joyce Guidry and his cousin, Josie Guidry.
