OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Blaze Kennerson, 14, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 2, 2024 in Opelousas, LA.

Blaze’s memories are being cherished by: his father, Robert Kennerson and mother, Erika Brasseaux, both of Opelousas, LA; bonus father, Christopher Roberts of Opelousas, LA; paternal grandmother, Elaine Woodley of Opelousas, LA; maternal great grandmother, Norma Venable; three brothers, Michael Brasseaux (Kadence Richard) of Lafayette, LA, Robert Lee Kennerson, III of Opelousas, LA and Mylique Kennerson of Kinder, LA; three sisters, Dena’ Sonnier of Baton Rouge, LA, Kenzy Lee Brasseaux and Tarah’ Nee Roberts, both of Opelousas, LA; paternal uncles, Tony Kennerson and Travis Lewis, both of Opelousas, LA; maternal uncle, Tony Brasseaux, Jr. of Cankton, LA; paternal aunt, Carmelle Landry (Joe) of Opelousas, LA; maternal aunts, Renee Brasseaux of Cankton, LA and Simone Bijeaux of St. Martinville, LA; girlfriend, Kloe Gutierrez of Cankton, LA; maternal great aunt, Rebecca; special cousins, Jajuan Prince, Laurence Journet, Jr., Tony Kennerson, Devontae Major, Rio Brasseaux, Khaya Brasseaux and Montel Lewis, all of Opelousas, LA; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tony James Brasseaux and Sarah Venable Davis and maternal great grandfather, Roy Venable.
