Ben Joseph Hanchett, Sr. September 20, 1946 – May 5, 2022
Ben Joseph Hanchett, Sr. passed peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was 75 years old. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00am at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 8282 I-10 Service Rd South, New Orleans, LA. Pastor Fred Luter, Jr. will officiate. Viewing will be at 9:00am until start of service.
Mr. Hanchett was preceded in death by his father, Ben Hanchett, mother, Louanna Hanchett Joseph and a brother, Curley W. Hanchett. He is survived by his wife, Ellis Hanchett; son, Ben Joseph Hanchett, Jr., and daughter, Benita Hanchett Stevens (Dominick); four sisters, Mary F. Hanchett, Martha A. Wilson (James), Catherine Golden (Antoine) and Betty J. Hanchett; one brother, Dr. Donald J. Hanchett (Geonice) and a sister-in law, Eula Hanchett. He also leaves to mourn his passing his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Boyd Family Funeral Home (504) 282-0600) of New Orleans, LA is in charge of arrangements

My deepest condolence it is very heartbreaking to know that a first cousin passed away and had no knowledge of it our parents would definitely be very disappointed let's love the way God loves love covers a multitude of sin
