OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Alvin “Sweet Al” Stelly, 40, who entered eternal rest on Friday, December 18, 2020 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Stelly leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Barbara Stelly of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Devin Ray Jagneaux and Demonte Lafleur, both of Opelousas, LA ; two daughters, Bailey Rae Yowl and Addison Williams, both of Opelousas, LA; seven brothers, Kurt Young, Ricky Hamilton, Michael Stelly, Marcus (Joyce) Stelly, Reginald Stelly, Byron Stelly and Brian Stelly, all of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Sheila Sisco of Houston, TX, Stephanie Antoine (Paul), Stacy Stelly and Shanice Lachapelle (Charles), all of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his father, Alvin Barrow; one sister, Vanessa Hamilton; paternal grandparents, Earnest “Doc” and Edna Ford Barrow, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, John and Paulita Dartez Hamilton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
