Obituary For Mrs. Susie Bernice Watters Moran

Susie Bernice Moran was called to eternal life September 19, 2022.

October 30, 1932, James and Eula Watters welcomed their lovely daughter, Susie Bernice to their Family. Susie had a very full life, graduating from Main High School in 1951. She married Billy R. Moran, and they shared a daughter together, Kimberly J. Moran, she was a beautiful Vocalist. The couple shared a bond that would never break. The pair traveled extensively and enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their home. Susie and her husband Billy were faithful members of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Mother's Board. Susie devoted her life to helping others, she graduated from Coosa Valley Technical School (now Georgia Northwestern Technical College Rome, GA) where she obtained a degree in Nursing (LPN). She worked as a nurse at Floyd Medical Center (now Atrium Health Floyd, Rome, Ga), where she retired in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her Father, James Watters Sr., Mother, Eula Watters, Husband, Billy R. Moran, Daughter, Kimberly J. Moran, Brothers, James Watters, Rudolph Watters, and Joe Watters. She is survived by her grandchildren, Cameron M. Moran (Reachon C. Davidson), and Christopher B. Wright (Ashley N. Edge), great-grandchildren, Cameron M. Moran Jr., and Cairo M. Moran, nephew, Zimbalist L. Watters, Nieces, Dana Watters and Cynthia Watters. In addition she leaves behind her special sisters, Sara Sanders, Emma Crowley, the late Lillie Love, numerous cousins, close friends and neighbors.

Susie’s personality resonated in every room she entered. Her kindness to others and her grace will be forever remembered. She was loved my many and will be missed by every soul she encountered.

Funeral Services will be held at Floyd Memory Gardens on Monday October 3rd, 2022 at 12 PM. Susie was always appreciative of the support she received during her husband Billy's illness from Heyman Hospice.

*Public viewing will be Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12 noon until 4 pm at F. K. Jones Funeral Home.
