Thank you family for allowing me to share my memories of Calvin Lowe. My name is Daryl Scott. I've known Calvin for 38 years. We lived three houses down and across the street from each other. Beside Calvin's love for riding his motorcycle, my fondest memory was one day Calvin was standing in his front yard observing me struggling to move sections of tree limbs that were previously cut from a tree in my yard. I saw Calvin driving up my driveway on a Bob Cat Tractor which was equipped with an attachment especially made for moving logs and tree limbs. Calvin moved all of the limbs and debris to the edge of the road for the city to pick up. When I offered to pay him, he said, "You don't owe me nothing. That's what neighbors do to help each other out." I said, "But Calvin, I have cash." He said, "It's not mine. Feed it forward." Several weeks later, I found a ladies wallet in a restaurant containing $613 in cash, a Visa and a Master Card, a Driver License, and a Social Security Card. My first thought was I've hit the lottery. Then I thought of Calvin saying, "It's not mine. Feed it forward." My wife and I returned the wallet with all of its contents to the owner. Calvin's character traits exemplify the epitome of a good neighbor and good spirited person doing the right thing. Each day, we make everlasting memories through our interactions with others. It is better to leave a legacy of good character and faith rather than money or material things. I will continue to feed forward Calvin's legacy. God Be The Glory!

Mary, in his early days of entrepreneurial ventures, I could always be assured of a jovial greeting when ever passing Calvin at his South Broad location or if we happened to pull up at a traffic light- he laid back on his motor bike, always pleasantly greeting, in a manner of respect for others.
