MS. NANCY LUE GREGORY, daughter of the late Willie and Leathy Joyner Coleman was born January 26, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life May 20, 2023 in Envoy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lawrenceville, VA. She was also preceded in death by a daughter- Eleanor Coleman; siblings- George, Bill, Joe, Herbert, Charles “Tick”, Henry Lewis, Albert Oliver, Mary Lizzie, Cordell, and Betty, and her devoted nephews- Randolph and James.

At an early age Nancy was baptized and joined Union Hill RZUA Church. She later became a member of Hayes Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board and the Missionary Ministry. She attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools.

Nancy worked as a farmer for many years until her health began to decline. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her flower bed. Nancy was instrumental in helping to raise her grandchildren and she loved them dearly. She had a strict work ethic...she would work the devil out of you around the house.

Nancy leaves to mourn four children- Ira (Mary) Gregory of Baskerville, VA; Kindley Gregory and Lisa Jones of South Hill, VA and Ricky (Jacqueline) Gregory of Brodnax, VA; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
