To the Family of BettyCherry, better known to our family as (Candy) I grew up with my Friend , as back door neighbors, A path led from our house to theirs, we attended Attucks Elementary, & High school,We both worked at the Broward County Health Dept Building ,Where I worked for Memorial Primary care, then her daughter Latonya Worked with me, then after we both retired, she later moved to Orlando. My Sister Rose stayed in touch with her, our families remained connected. Now the Call was made from Heaven she is now resting in the arms of Jesus., Tonya and family ,weeping May endure for a night but joy will come in the morning, she is absent from the body but now present with the Lord,May he give you comfort. The Stanley's, Jones, Fords and Gollett's.

My heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones and friends of Ms. Betty Cherry. I worked with her in the WIC Program Call Center some years ago. She was like an office mom, and full of wisdom. Everyone respected her to the utmost. When it came to work productivity she would always out score us younger folk working in the call center. It was a honor to work with her. Hello, my special ( FRIEND ) and our special friendship I will never forget you. I thank God for you for playing a special part in my LIFE . We met on State road 84 clinic and people said you going to work over there Ms. Betty Cherry don't talk and I said she is going to talk to me 🫢🫢😄 and guess what Ms.Betty became my best friend I even had her eating HOT SAUSAGES and oh boy HER cooking was the bomb. We even went out together and had some fun at the parties. I can hear her saying stop it Pat. And a special thanks Betty for training me . To the family. I first met Betty Cherry when we worked together in the WIC Program for the State Of Florida. Our main office was at the Broward County Health Dept with many outlying sites. Betty worked at most of the outlying centers but Hepburn became her baby.She demanded respect from her clientele because her personality and her character of being a person of worth. I enjoyed our working experience and after I left the Health Dept and begin working for the Fort Lauderdale Police anytime we saw each other it was as if we never parted. Yes, Betty you were truly a great authentic never changing person. May the family always treasure her memories in their hearts. Co-worker and friend. Cassandra Johnson Battle.

This has by far been the most painful thing that I have had to deal with. You were my best friend before I knew what a friend was. Your love never changed and right or wrong you never judged.
