Obituary For Robert Robinson
Mr. Robert Louis Robinson, Sr. 85, of Shelby, NC departed this life on Friday December 27, 2024 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby. He was born on June 1, 1939, in Lincolnton NC to the late Elam Robinson, Jr. and the late Mamie Forney Robinson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the chapel.

We called him High Plains Drifter. Mr. Robert was my Uncle Gene Roseboro's best friend. He taught me how to play chess and checkers and him and my Incle Gene taught me to LOVE Westerns. Everytime I saw him he greeted me with a hug and a smile. I will miss 'High Plains Drifter'. He was the last one of my Uncles friends left and I will cherish all the memories made. Mr. Robert was a sharp dresser and a straight forward person. I will miss seeing him in his cowboy boots and nice hats. I will be praying for his children, grandchildren, great-grands and entire family. Rest in peace, High Plains Drifter.
