Obituary For Preston Allen
Mr. Preston “June” Allen, Jr. 78, of Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born on January 5, 1944 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Preston Allen, Sr. and Margaret Shade Allen.
“June” was retired from PPG Industries where he was employed for 42 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and he loved to help others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Preston Allen; his brothers, Doug Allen, William J. Allen, James Allen and Jerry Allen and sisters, Ruth Ross, Betty Jean Robinson and Joyce Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Sharon Hall Allen of Shelby, NC; a daughter, Linda Jamison (Robert) of Forest City, NC; four sons, Donald Allen (Betty), Ronnie Allen, Thomas Allen and Terry Allen all of Shelby; four brothers, Rob Robinson of Hickory, NC, Sam Allen, Clifton Allen and Larry Allen all of Shelby; two sisters, Bessie Mae Allen and Christine Wright both of Shelby; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
