Mr. Ernie Roseboro, 52, of Grover, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Grover. He was born on February 10, 1971, in Cleveland County to the late George Archie and Kay Roseboro Meeks and step son of Roger Meeks of Cherryville, NC.
Ernie was a beloved member of the Shoal Creek Community in Shelby. He graduated from Crest High School in 1989, where he was an outstanding basketball player. He spent his time with family and friends listening to his favorite R&B, gospel music, and commenting on the latest sports. He gave his life to Christ along his journey and was eager to share his love of Christ with everyone he knew. Ernie was an easy going beautiful spirit and wanted the best for all his family and friends.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Osko and Euzelia Chambers Roseboro; paternal grandparents, Cicero and Betty Gill; aunts, Dorothy Roseboro, Ruby Lee Foster, and Louise Huskey; and special cousins, Teresa Foster and Tony Foster.
Left to cherish his memories is his children, Jasmine BβNai Roseboro Hines (Todd), Jaylan Armontee Moore, Ernie Tyrone Roseboro Jr.; a sister, Ashley Sweezy (Brant) of Fallston, NC; uncles, James Roseboro (Johana) of Wichita, KS and Sonny Roseboro of Blacksburg, SC; fiancΓ©, Rebecca Moore of Grover, NC; five stepchildren, Angelica Adams, Jamittron Fair, Tomarcus Adams, Loby Littlejohn, and Tanevia Adams; special cousins, Franklin Roseboro (Lesia), Dr. Jacqueline Roseboro, Louisea Roseboro (Dale), Chris Roseboro, Angela Alexander (Anthony); and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel at 11 am. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at 715 Levi Street, Shelby, NC.
Wowwwww is all I can say! You will be missed Roseboro, you were my husband for 15 years and my friend for 26 years!!!! Praying for the family!
