Mrs. Clevie Littlejohn was born January 17, 1948 and she peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on September 1, 2022 at her home in Shelby, NC. She worked for Doran and Ora Mills for 17 years. She loved to shop, cook, watch tv, and spend time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a lifelong resident of Cleveland County and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother Clarice Sweezy and father Noah Surratt; grandchild Rayjhunne Littlejohn; two brothers Noah Surratt Jr. and Bobby Gene Surratt; one sister Phyllis Ann Petty; two nephews Keith Surratt and Monte Petty; and one cousin Tia Ynette Petty Gray Thompson. Left to cherish her precious and fond memories are husband of 47 years Robert Littlejohn; three children Detria Littlejohn of Shelby, Tenisha Littlejohn of Charlotte, and Vincent Littlejohn of Shelby; one sister Clara Thurston (Quinton) of Shelby, two brothers Jason Allen Surratt (Terri) of Richmond, VA and Michael Surratt (Jackie) of Shelby; two grandchildren India Lee (Kinchen) of Shelby, and Parris Littlejohn of Shelby; eight great grandchildren Channing Littlejohn of Shelby, Jahmarre Littlejohn of Shelby, Vinson Littlejohn of Shelby, Denzel Littlejohn of Shelby, Kamron Littlejohn of Shelby, R.J. Littlejohn of Shelby, Kamarri Littlejohn of Shelby, and Kmarria Littlejohn of Shelby; two great-great grandchildren Zayleigh Littlejohn of Shelby and Jaleek Littlejohn of Shelby; a good friend Judy Woods of Shelby; two sisters-in-law, Mae Watson of Raleigh, NC and Rebecca Littlejohn of Charlotte, NC; two brothers-in-law, Willie Littlejohn (Patricia) of Raleigh and Larry Littlejohn (Edna) of Albemarle, NC and a host of other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her faithful furry little dog and companion Oreo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 3:30 PM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the chapel and at other times at the home and 309 N. Washington St. Shelby. She may only be viewed on Saturday morning from 9:00-1:00 at the chapel. In addition, the Littlejohn family would like to thank the care team at Hospice of Cleveland County and Atrium Health Lincolnton for the exceptional care and compassion provided throughout her transition.
