Obituary For Allen Hamrick

On February 21, 1982, an angel was born to Tracy Earl Hamrick and the late Steve Allen Hamrick in Shelby, NC. Allen Hamrick entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 29, 2020.

Allen was a 2001 graduate of Crest High School. His purpose in life was to own his own trucking company which he succeeded at doing, Hambone Trucking Co. Allen loved his family especially his children and they loved him also. Allen gave his life to Christ and united with Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Patterson Springs, NC. He later united with Webb Baptist Church under Bishop Michael Moore.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Diamond Hamrick and grandfathers, Andrew Earl, Rayford Sloan and Joe Toms.

Allen leave his legacy to be remembered by his loving wife of 11 years, Erica Downer Hamrick; his mother, Tracy Earl Hamrick; his three children, son, Zavior Hamrick and two daughters, Aniah Hamrick and Kaliyah Hamrick; sister, Natalie Hamrick Coleman (Christopher); grandmothers, Betty Sloan and Earnestine Hamrick; four nephews, Baron Barnes, Caylon Littlejohn, C. J. Coleman and Traylon Coleman; godmother, Phyllis Shaw; special friend, Terry “ T. L.” Shaw; sisters-in-law, Brandi Asberry and Angeria Downer; brother-in-law, Derrick Downer and a host of additional aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A viewing is planned for him at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

My deepest sympathy go out the Hamrick Family. We were so sorry to hear of his passing. Got to know Allen while working for Pry-Way trucking .He was full of life and was always talking about his children and family. Rest in peace
