Sis. Patsy, Carl, Jr., Rob and Preston β you had an awesome and rare gem π in Carl! It is still quite unbelievable that his warm presence will no longer be with us physically. Carl was a friend to everyone. He was not someone who kept enemies. I know that I will personally miss his Facebook birthday shoutouts! Just an amazing soul! Patsy, we are deeply sorry for your loss. I reflect back on that Sunday when your and Carl's engagement was announced. I remember your faces were aglow with so much joy, hope and promise of a loving and blessed future together. Many years later my husband and I were honored to have the two of you attend our wedding in Atlanta 3 years ago. I recall Carl saying to me that when he heard who Elder Towns was getting married to, "that was the icing on the cake" for him. He had a way of making you feel special. My husband reflects on Carl's leadership in the Men's Choir. He was about business but at the same time he was patient and a pleasure to be around. Carl loved God's people. So we pray that in the midst of your sorrow that you find peace in knowing that Carl is in the hands of a just God. Surrender your pain to Him. God loves you and so do we. Elder James Towns and Gwen Donaldson Towns
I was so saddened to hear about Trustee Johnson's passing. I can only imagine how difficult this must be. He was truly a kind person. A man of God. Someone I've always had a profound amount of respect for. May your family find comfort in the memories you shared.

Patsy Johnson I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband 21 years ago and I still feel the pain. I asked God to give you the strength and the courage to go on. I knew you from great Grace from years ago and I thought your husband was the real deal and my husband also so I know it hurts, but God never makes a mistake and he never put more on us and we can bear. I'll keep you in my prayers, and your family
