Pastor James Adam Edwards of Southfield, Michigan Beloved Husband of Pastor Earlene Edwards, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Veteran born on December 21,1944 in Columbus, Ohio made his transition on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan at the age of 77. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home 22401 Grand River Ave. ( between Lahser Rd. & Telegraph Rd. ) Detroit, Michigan 48219. Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 Family Hour at 10:30 AM with the Celebration Of Life at 11:30 AM at Greater Grace Temple Church 23500 W. Seven Mile Rd. Detroit, Michigan 48219 Bishop Charles H. Ellis III Pastor 313-543-6000. Internment will Follow at Detroit Memorial Park-West Cemetery in Redford, Michigan. Flower Delivery hours will be on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 12 Noon to 6:00 PM.

Papa J will truly be missed. His bright smile, warm heart, kind words and loving spirit were all things that made him the man we all knew and loved. I thank God for Papa J and Grammy. They were the Lords dynamic duo: from prison ministry, to outreach, to grand kids, to pound cakes and Super Bowl parties. What a tremendously blessed couple.
