I'm so sorry to hear this news. I was unaware until today. He was a wonderful supervisor at Lowe's. He has a kind heart and will be truly be missed.
I just found out about Sylvester, I worked for him at Lowes and he could turn a bad day into a good one with his smile and things he'd say to make you laugh and smile back. I send my condolences to his family and may they find peace in the memories he built with them and that one day they shall meet again. Elizabeth Cook
I am still in shock as I just found out about Sylvester's passing. He was my supervisor at Lowe's, and no one was nicer to me than Sylvester. He was genuinely a kind-hearted person who made the world a better place. His smile and personality was a gift to all who knew him. My prayers go out for his family. I am so sorry I didn't get to show my respect. Yvette Brown

Just learning of Sylvester's passing. I only had the privilege of working with and knowing him for a few yrs at Advance Auto Parts, he was a great person and his laugh and smile were contagious. He was always ready to cut up and talk fishing. I really hated hearing Sylvester passed away, but I'm sure he's up above in a fishing tournament! RIP

I met Sylvester my senior year at GW Carver High School. We were teammates on the wrestling team. After he finished high school we were reunited as teammates at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama. I cherish the time I spent with him as we tried figure out who and what we wanted to be in life. The last time we met was an extraordinary act of kindness which he gave to three of his old teammates. Thomas, a teammate who was ill and unable to drive, wanted to visit with a few of his old teammates. Sylvester left his home in Warner Robins, GA, drove to Columbus, GA, picked Thomas up and brought him to Montgomery, AL so that the four of us could share a meal. Slyvester, Thomas, Halloway and I ate lunch and walked down memory lane for hours. A good time was had by all. Sylvester took Thomas home where he later passed away. I am forever grateful to Sylvester for reuniting four old guys, allowing us to revisit our glory days of wrestling and friendship!
