Rosie L. Whetstone, a resident of Montgomery, AL. Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 1943 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, 36108, Rev. Charles Thomas, Pastor, with Rev. E. C. Huntley, eulogizing.Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery with the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Whetstone will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

To the Whetstone Family We take this time to express our personal condolences to the family of Rosie L Whetstone. our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this hour of great sadness. So, although darkness has made a brief appearance, the days of brightness is just around the corner. The brightness comes from God where He tells us about the resurrection hope that He will extend to His earthly family. The promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. Yes, God would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. From this text, God wants all of us to be able to envision the restoring of life back to persons like Rosie, and a great host of others who await their personal awakening from death. Until this arrangement takes place, we can use this time to learn all that we can about the resurrection blessing soon to take place earth wide. There are nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about this wonderful blessing from God. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Rosie, and a great host of others in a very special way. in closing we encourage all to please keep this promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
