Obituary For Nancy Hall
Mrs. Nancy Aveilhe Hall passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was 89. Until recently she was a lifelong resident of Washington, D.C. and Prince George’s County Maryland.
The daughter of the late Mr. Arthur C. Aveilhe and Mrs. Sydney F. Aveilhe, she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Gladys Cheeseborough and Edwina Aveilhe, and three brothers, Javan Anderson, Arthur and Clyde Aveilhe. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of over 60 years, James Will Hall, one son, James Wesley Hall, two daughters: Nancy L. Williamson (Dalton) and Angela A. Lazaro (Ronald). She also leaves five grandchildren: Risa Ann Williamson, Nina Renee Hammer (Travis), Adrienne Elliece Jones (Michael), Aaron Edward Newby (Emily) and KevinMichael Price (Imani), seven great-grandchildren: Ian Hammer, Michael Jones III, Milani Price, Rylee Newby, Desmond Hammer, Savannah Jones, Saniyah Jones, a sister-in-law Mary E. Dilworth, two nieces: Lisa Aveilhe and Kelley Shangle, one great niece Sydney Aveilhe Pridgen, and three nephews: Alain Aveilhe, and Michael and Timothy Cheeseborough
After completing her bachelor degree in mathematics at an early age at Howard University, she was an award winning computer systems analyst at the Veterans Administration. She later spent many years as a public school math teacher in the District of Columbia and Prince George’s County school systems. She was a dedicated member and Sunday school teacher at Landover Hills Baptist Church and she taught Sunday school to female inmates in the Prince George’s County Correctional Facility.
She was well loved by her family, friends, and neighbors and will be deeply missed.

Mrs Hall was our neighbor across the street on Cousins Drive. I remember we did a short play at her house back in the day and she was so excited. She was so sweet, happy and inviting. What a wonderful person! She also tutored me in Math, as well as her daughter Nancy. Just wonderful people and really like family to us. We will miss her so much, but her vibrant and loving personality will never be forgotten. RIP 🙏🏽💞🌹
Grandma, this still feels unreal. You were such a huge part of my life. I feel as a part of me is gone now. I will always remember the lessons you imparted to me. I love you - Eddie
I honestly don't know what to say mom. To say that you're missed just seems like words. I pray that you stay around daddy and help hold his head up. I will miss our talks and our times on the phone watching TV shows together while we were in two different states. I love you. I miss you. But I know we'll see each other again. Tell everybody hello for me. I love you.
I remember Mrs. Hall always having a smile, encouraging words, and being very kind. I pray that precious memories will comfort her family.
