John Majors, Sr., a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away Monday January 27, 2025. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home, 1120 Bragg Street, Montgomery, AL, 36108 with Rev. Anthony Rutledge officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115, with the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. John "Big John" and our son Steve, Jr were friends/teammates at Wallace State and Mobile College where they played basketball together. We really enjoyed getting to know John and other teammates that would come home with Steve on occasion. God bless his family and friends at this difficult time.
