There are no words to describe how you will be truly missed Patrice. Thank you for bringing sunshine to our meetings at VBA and sharing with us the wonderful journey of your son joining the military. I didn't get to know you long, but the short time was enough to know the beautiful spirit and heart you had. Thank you for taking care of Veterans and most importantly, being making a difference in our workforce lives. God bless you in Heaven and your family. God has gained a beautiful angel that will definitely be missed by all. Your friend and battle buddy always, Dee Brown
I physically met Ms. McCorkle at VBA HR Symposium this past April. What I can remember saying to myself is "She is a little shorty like me", funny and she definitely had the teams attention. My deepest condolences to you, your family and friends. I know that there are no words that can ease your pain - I just wanted you to know that I met Ms. Patrice during our VBA Symposium in April. She was such a joy to be around and extremely funny. She commanded the room with her smile and inviting personality. I was blessed to meet her! My heart goes out to you! ❤ Lori Johnson, Omaha, NE
I meet Patrice a few months back when we had to attend training. Because of division covering so many states across the US, I rarely get the privilege of spending time and interacting with coworkers face to face.
Patrice made such an impression on me the first time we meet. We had to tell a bit about ourselves to our team- and she (as no surprise to you I'm sure) had us laughing the entire time.
She was such a pleasure to work with and a wonderful, kind and amazing woman.
My deepest sympathies to her family and dear friends. I know she will be missed by many on the "RAWC" team.
Kristin Coyle (Massachusetts) VBA Chief of WC- on team RAWC.
My deepest condolences to you and your entire family. Miss Patrice was a special person for sure. She was the type of person that you only meet a few times in your life because there are so few that are truly so warm and kind. Her presence in a room could make everyone better, simply because she radiated joy and love. She will always have a special place in our hearts. In His name I pray for your family during this difficult time. Patrick Allen (Windsor, Maine).
I had the honor of working with Patrice since 2019. When Patrice joined the RACW Division in 2020, a special bond between us blossomed. We were "Big Sis" and "Lil Sis" at work, we talked often and sometimes for hours after work. Patrice was a kind, loyal, and beautiful soul with a funny sense of humor. It was such a pleasure of meeting her in April 2023 in person at a work conference. She was a bright light and will forever leave her impression on me. Sending powerful prayers and sincerest condolences from Michigan to her entire family and circle of friends. God will see you through this difficult time. - Teresa Williams-Johnson

I was honored and privileged to work with Ms. Patrice McCorkle over the last three years. Patrice was with our team during its infancy, and through all the growth, she was always there. Always willing to help anyone that needed it. She was always the kindest, most supportive, caring person I could ever have worked with. Patrice was loved by everyone that had the privilege to talk to her. She will be missed dearly by our team and all of her friends here in her work family. Rest in Peace, Patrice, you are one of a kind.
With heavy heartfelt condolences,
Chris Wunsch, (Work associate) Alexandria, VA
Patrice was one of my "aunts" (one of my mother Charlotte's closest friends that became family). I will always remember her as a genuine, caring and altogether lovely woman. I always felt loved when she was around and she always made me feel as if she was happy to see me.
My memories of Patrice will always include how happy I was seeing my mother and her laughing together like 2 teenagers on several occassions and the utter joy she had when Johnston came along and made her a mother.
I will continue to in prayer for her family, especially Johnston, the pride of her life.
Love you Patrice,
Yotaunda, Charlotte Gambrell's daughter❤️

My sincere condolences to Patrice's family and friends. I had the honor of being her escort at the NCCU 78' "Queen of Hearts Ball" where she represented the C.T. Willis Business Club as our Queen. She was always a source of encouragement and pleasantness. I had not seen Patrice since we graduated in 78' until our last reunion (40th). I am so glad I had the opportunity to see her and capture the moment via a photo. May God, give you comfort, peace, and understanding during such a difficult time. Alvie Fennell, Sr.
I worked with Patrice for several years and I will always remember her for her dedication to us and our employees. She was such a great person to work with and will be dearly missed. I wish for her family to accept my deepest sympathy during this time of grief.
I worked with Patrice for many years in the Winston-Salem Regional Office. She and I shared adoption stories and she never failed to ask about my daughter. Her son was the brightest light for her and she was always so proud and filled with love for him. Patrice was always so kind to me, I will miss her terribly. Praying God will comfort the family in this time of sadness. With sincere condolences, Leigh Ann Skeens
