Kathleen Elizabeth Wingate age 67, of Iron Station, North Carolina transitioned on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Atrium Health – Lincolnton.
She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on April 10, 1956 to the late Rev. James Franklin Wingate Sr. and Ethel Elizabeth Wilson Wingate.
She graduated from East Lincoln High School. She retired from Bell South as a Customer Service Representative.
Survivors are her son, Javais Wingate of Maiden, NC; three brothers, James F. Wingate, Jr. of Lincolnton, NC; Charles W. (Sandra)Wingate of Iron Station, NC; Jerome (Jacqueline Kee) Wingate of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Phyllis Wingate of Kannapolis, NC; Renee Wingate (Frank) Farley of Indian Trail, NC; two grandchildren, Malea Wingate and Mya Wingate.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in White’s Family Chapel with burial to follow in Wingate Family Cemetery, Iron Station, North Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
There will be a public walkthrough held Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

I met and came to know and work with her at Bell South (AT&T). She was a beautiful person inside and out and had a lively and sweet spirit.
