EC-ah-Su to being the Minister to Music at Gateway to Heaven, to New Res Hall (and all the other memories that we share but I won't name cuz I'm bougie) lol I love you. You are loved. To be absent from youur earthly body is to be present with the lord. Take your wings!
Jeffery Miles Thomas was life! He was larger than life. If he loved you, you were indeed loved. His heart was honestly too big to contain within this world. He was more than a friend, he was family. To the family, I am so sorry for this great loss. I mourn with you and I wil celebrate his life today and always. Angela Hanks
Pastor Thomas and I met at ECSU and was immediately a bright light, humorous soul and a fellow church kid. We bonded and it was always a pleasure to run into him after college as well. I always admired that he was willing to share his testimony no matter where he was. You are already missed, but God has got it all in control. My condolences to the family, church members and friends. Carla Williams
Pastor Jeffery Thomas and I cross paths very early in his life. He was just a child and I was very young in Christ. Even after growing up and older we worshiped together in revivals and other services. The 3rd Sabbath in September of this year being our most recent not knowing it would be our last. We shared the song: Let Me Lean On You. God already new our bodies were tired and he chose to give Jeffery's soul rest. Rest On..... You're forever in my heart 💜 Evang. Melissa Cauthen Bibleway Church No. 9 Lincolnton, NC

Miles and met in college at ECSU. He was a constant light & encourager in the gospel. We shared a lot of time in the gospel choir as well as Gateway to Heaven Church. Miles was my friend, my teacher and my travel buddy when we wanted to take a ride. Several memories come to mind but most of all I will keep the mandate to remember the anointing on my life and walk in it. Rest in power sir. I love you more, Sease😇❤️🥹
Jeffery was a friend from high school, and I hadn't seen him in many years. Just a few days before his passing, my mother gave me his phone number, and I reached out. It was so good to hear back from him, and so many memories of high school and singing together in chorus came flooding back. We were supposed to catch up, but God had other plans. I remember his bright smile and playful nature. He was a lovely person, and I know he will be missed by many. Prayers of comfort, understanding, peace, support, love, and all that you need to his family and everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing his light here on Earth.
Jeffery's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May everyone find solace in the joy he brought and the love he shared so freely.
I met Miles in college and he instantly became my big brother as he would say JT. I will never forget anything you instilled in me. My mom still talks about your singing, my thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this very difficult time.
I met Jeffrey in Harlem through our mutual friend and brother Vaughn Spain in May of 2018! A light, A Protector, Huge Smile and a loving spirit. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to his entire family during this difficult time.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
