Hattie Houston

Hattie Houston touched my life in truly meaningful ways. She was my best friend's mom, but she was often a second mother to me. She opened her home to me, talked me through very tough times, gave me guidance, and most of all, gave me love. Her unfailing faith, kindness, dedication to duty, sense of humor, and beauty are just a few of the things I admired and cherished most about her. She was a truly incredible person and I feel so fortunate to have known her. I'd like to offer my sincerest condolences to all others mourning her loss, as she was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, colleague, and surrogate mother or auntie to many. Rest in peace beautiful lady.

Sending my love and condolences to you Lavada. Growing up our Mothers' gave us the world and more. We shared moms growing up and I wouldn't change it. Amazing, sweet woman who opened her door up for me. She will be tremendously missed. I love you 🕊️🫶🏾

Auntie, or should I say Mama, you were more than anyone could ask for in a person, you would give a good talking, but would do anything to make sure I had it, and a lot of the family. You were more than enough in a family member! Thank you for loving me and always taking care of me as I grew up! I know you are finally at your resting place, but today I made a big girl move && I couldn't wait to tell you, but you left here so soon. All I have is memories, but they are enough until I see you again! I love you, Love Head (as you always called me)
