Mr. Billy Joe Bynum age 77 of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, North Carolina.
He was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on July 16, 1945 to the late Robert Hunter and Bessie Bell Bynum Gidney. He graduated from Newbold High School, class of 1964. He retired from Abernethy Chevrolet as a car Salesman. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Jacquelyn Thompson Bynum of the home; one son, Billy Joe Bynum, Jr. (Barbara) of Lincolnton, NC; two daughters, Angela Reid (William) of Concord, NC; Victoria Franklin (Michael) of Denver, NC; one sister, Emma Brice of Lincolnton, NC, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
Funeral Service is Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
There will be a public walk through on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Billy Joe was one of my favorite people. My kids, now grown, loved him. One of the best men I've ever known. My prayers are with the family.

I would see him at his mom's (Ms Bessie aka Aunt Bessie) and Mr. Billy was always talking and smiling at the same time. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family and friends.
